I received confirmation from our agency that our profile is currently being viewed by a genetic family! :) We don't know a single thing about this family, but I'm still happy to be considered by them. So yeah...hopefully we'll hear in the next few days whether or not they want to move forward with us.
In case you were wondering, we did slightly adjust our original adoption profile book when we switched to embryo adoption. Most of the main pages contain the same content, but I had to change the language in our introduction and closing pages to suit a genetic family instead of a birth family. And while I was at it, I updated some pictures as well. :) If you'd like to see what the genetic family is looking at, you can click here. :)

I have been following your blog for a while and hope that snowflake adoption is a success for you!
ReplyDeleteI just wanted to pass on some information that I got from a friend at church. She told me that she and her husband tried for months and months to naturally conceive, but they could not. Eventually, they went to a naturalist doctor who told both she and her husband to cut out all sugar in their diet. They decided to try this since nothing else seemed to work. The very next month after cutting out all sugar in their diet, she and her husband were able to conceive and they now have 3 beautiful children. My friend does not know if cutting sugar out of their diet is what worked, but I thought I would pass this story along.
God Bless!
