Blessed

Today Ryan and I picked Q up from the train station and she spent a few hours hanging out with my family. I don't know if I mentioned on the blog that she spent Thanksgiving with Ryan's side a few months back. With the holidays and our little vacation this month, it took a little bit longer to introduce her to my side. Anyway, today that happened and I'm so happy about it. Just watching her laugh with us, and feel comfortable is such a blessing. Birthparent and adoptive family relationships are unique because we've made a big commitment to each other and THEN we try to cultivate a friendship. It's interesting. :) But by God's grace, a friendship is developing and I'm so thankful for that. Here is a belly shot of Q at 32 weeks-

She's getting so big! :) Q, Ryan, and I have our first  Lamaze class on Tuesday, which should be fun / semi-awkward. lol. In any case, I'm excited about it. :)  I can't believe that Elliana is going to be here next month!

  2. I found your blog because I was googling "stimming" and landed on a post you entitled that when you were in the process of fertility treatments. So glad you are nearing motherhood via the miracle of adoption! We are in country right now adopting a little boy. After seven bio kids, I can tell you that adoption is truly a glorious way to make a family & not even a tiny bit different as far as love, bond, authenticity! Congratulations and may the Lord richly bless your new family. :)

  7. i randomly found your blog and just finished reading every post from start to finish... i'm in awe... you two are such an amazing couple and i wish you nothing but the best in the next few months. I read something the other day that you might like: it was about how there are really 4 trimesters instead of 3, the 4th trimester is equally important as the ones before. It says how if baby stayed in the womb for the other 12 weeks they would be too big to carry so they must finish outside. You get to finish the pregnancy and be mamma in the last stage! Good luck and have fun!
